Home Energy Scotland

Home Energy Scotland wanted to revamp their website, making it more accessible and user friendly.

First, we looked in depth at Home Energy Scotland’s demographics and users. By conducting user interviews and through the use of discovery sessions, we uncovered numerous user issues. I created user goal and problem statements, personas, constructed the new information architecture and mapped out the new user journeys. From this I was able to wireframe the site ready for user testing. As we were working with multiple stakeholders a detailed information architecture was created so each of the stakeholders could see where their content lay within the website. This level of detail helped the project run smoothly and on time.

Design was to meet AA WCAG minimum standards and was well received by the Home Energy and Energy Savings Trust teams. I brought the Home Energy brand to their digital space, giving the brand a more coherent feel across all platforms.
