Challenge

Zero Waste were managing and delivering content via 13 different websites. This was becoming incredibly difficult to manage. For users Zero Waste’s message was being diluted with various websites with varied brand styling across web portals detract from the user experience and provide little clarity on what they’re supposed to be doing.

Action

Zero Waste Scotland needed a unified vision that would inspire people to feel more invested in the movement and its goals. By harnessing the power of collective action, we aimed to overcome complacency and create a stronger foundation for lasting change. Combining all 13 sites and creating a unified digital experience. Through a Knowledge Hub and unique search experience users could find engaging and relevant content.

Result

The site achieved a 74% increase in visitors and a 40% increase in brand search. A 60% increase in website engagement and a 20% increase in email sign ups. The carbon footprint of the site itself reduced by 30%.
